About Konrad

Konrad Wagstyl is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Computing at King’s College London (KCL) and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London’s (UCL) Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. He also holds a Wellcome Senior Research Fellowship at both institutions. Konrad leads the IMAGINE Lab (Imaging, Machine learning And Genetics In Neurodevelopmental Epilepsies), which focuses on developing advanced imaging and machine learning techniques to better understand and treat neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly epilepsy. Together with Dr. Sophie Adler, he co-leads the Multicentre Epilepsy Lesion Detection project (MELD) and international consortium of epilepsy centres working to improve MRI diagnosis of epilepsy lesions. Together they won the 2025 International Michael Prize for their contributions to Neuroimaging of Epilepsy.
