About Jonathan

Dr. Jonathan Williams is a board-certified neurologist and epileptologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he serves as an Assistant Professor on the Clinician Researcher Track and an attending physician at Barnes Jewish Hospital. His work sits at the intersection of epilepsy care and health equity - focused on understanding why epilepsy outcomes differ so dramatically across communities and what we can do to change that. A nationally recognised voice in the field, Dr. Williams is a recipient of the 2026 American Academy of Neurology Health Care Equity Research Award, a founding committee member of IMPACT Epilepsy, and serves on national advisory boards for the Epilepsy Alliance America and the Epilepsy Foundation Research Ambassador Program. He is also the Inaugural Section Editor for Equity Neuroscience at the Journal for the Society for Equity Neuroscience. When he's not in the clinic or lab, you'll find him out in the community - speaking on epilepsy, dementia, and why access to good neurology care should never depend on your zip code.
