Epilepsy Sparks

More than twice as many Americans have seizure disorders, including epilepsy, as have Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and muscular dystrophy combined! Yet none of these well-known diseases carry the powerful stigma associated with epilepsy. From counselling services to education to residential and day programs, EPIC Long Island offers a wide variety of programs to assist those living with epilepsy, seizure disorders, or physical, intellectual, or emotional challenges.

Living Well With Epilepsy™, founded in 2009, provides the latest epilepsy information, including: news, style, fitness, entertainment, healthcare updates and personal stories, to our dedicated and influential readers around the world.

Our leading epilepsy blog offers insightful coverage addressing the full spectrum of issues faced by people living with all types of seizure disorders. We aim to inspire those living with epilepsy, as well as increase awareness of epilepsy around the world.

The Epilepsy Foundation leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. The Foundation connects people to treatment, support and resources; leads advocacy efforts; funds innovative research and the training of specialists; and educates the public about epilepsy and seizure first aid.
